====== Miko PBX installation ====== [[index|Back to the list of instructions]] ** Miko PBX** - the full **operating system** for your equipment, is not the separate program. It is delivered in the form of an image (*.iso, *.img).\\ Several options of the MikoPBX installation are possible. Select for yourself the most suitable option of installation:\\ * The Miko PBX installation with **a CD disk ** on separately dedicated server. The PC should support loading with CD. [[setup#live_cd|Installation instructions]].\\ \\ * The Miko PBX installation with **USB** on separately dedicated server. The PC should support loading with USB.[[setup#live_usb_bootable_usb|Installation instructions]].\\ \\ * Start of Miko PBX with **a boot USB disk**. When loading with USB all changes in a configuration work before the first reset. The PC should support loading with USB. [[setup#виртуальные_машины|Installation instructions]].\\ \\ ===== System requirements ===== * the Hard drive of 500 Mb for main system * the Hard drive of 50 Gb for records of a talk * 1 x64 processor * 1Gb random access memory * LAN adapter ===== Live CD ===== ** The Live CD installation ** - the easiest way of installation on the desktop PC.\\ \\ 1. For a start it is necessary to download an image of Live CD. \\ \\ 2. Write an image "**X.X.ХХ-9.0-svn-mikopbx-x86-64-cross-linux.iso**" on a compact disk\\ \\ 3. Insert Live CD into the computer\\ \\ 4. ** The PC should support loading with CD **. The loading order from the CD drive should be configured.\\ \\ 5. Reboot the PC\\ \\ 6. If loading took place successfully, the console menu will appear. At this stage Miko PBX is loaded from a disk (Live CD) on which iso an image is written. We make the Miko PBX installation. * Enter from the keyboard digit ** 8 ** and click "** Enter **" to start installation. Miko PBX will display information on all ** available ** disks. In the current example - a disk "** sda **".\\ * Enter from the keyboard a disk name, in the current case ** sda **.\\ * The system will request confirmation. We confirm - ** y **. Names of disks can differ for your system. Be attentive with the choice, all data on a disk where Miko PBX is established, will be lost. {{ :en:2019-01-30_145852.png |}}\\ The drive on which Miko PBX will be installed is called ** system ** (** SYSTEM **). As a system disk it is possible to select a disk which size will exceed ** 500 MB **. \\ \\ 8. After completion of installation the system will reboot. Miko PBX will automatically retrieve the disk **X.X.X-X.X-svn-mikopbx-x86-64-cross-linux.iso**" from the drive, now ** Miko PBX ** will be started from a disk ** by sda ** on which we also installed a system.\\ \\ 9. After restart we will see that the line "** PBX is running in Live or Recovery mode **" is absent.\\ {{ :en:2019-01-30_150556.png |}}\\ \\ 10. Further the system will suggest to connect a disk for storage of records of a talk in Miko PBX. * Enter the name of a disk for connection (for example, sdb) and click **Enter**. {{ :en:2019-01-30_150436.png |}} **Pay attention!** The **system disk** on which Miko PBX (in our example the disk sda) is installed only if its size exceeds **600 MB** can act as a disk for storage of records of a talk. Otherwise to connect a system disk for storage of records of a talk it will not turn out. \\ \\ At repeated attempt to connect a disk for storage of records of a talk the notification that the disk is already mounted will be output.\\ {{ :en:2019-01-30_150612.png |}} ===== Live USB / Bootable USB ===== It is tested on:\\ * Intel NUC DCCP847DYE * Intel NUC D54250WUKH The majority of modern PCs support loading from the USB device. \\ ** Miko PBX ** can be started from the USB device. Such way of installation can be required in the absence of CDROM. **Pay attention!** The minimum capacity of an USB disk - ** 512MB ** * The mode **Bootable USB** is intended for work of automatic telephone exchange from an USB disk (a card flash). Use for installation the ***.img ** file\\ \\ * The mode **Live USB** is intended for installation or system recovery. Use for installation the ***.iso ** file ==== Windows ==== For creation of a boot USB disk we recommend to use the application [[http://www.osforensics.com/tools/write-usb-images.html|imageUSB]].It is possible to download at the [[http://www.osforensics.com/tools/write-usb-images.html|link ]]. - Load and set the application. - Start imageUSB - Connect an USB disk to the PC - Perform operation "**Refresh drives**" - Select an USB disk - Select the image file - Perform operation "**Write**" - Wait for the end of record - Connect an USB disk to the PC - Reboot the PC for loading from a disk ==== OSX ==== Be attentive when choosing the device to formatting. Changes are not reversible! - Open the application "**Terminal**" - Connect an USB disk - Execute a command diskutil list - Information on all connected disks will be displayed{{ :123.png |}} - In the current example USB device name is "**/dev/disk3**". Let's compare an output of the "diskutil list" command before connection of the device - We format a disk.
